I am an Operations Recruiter for our Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope® division, which designs, engineers, and manufactures glass and glazing systems. My duties are to post and maintain all non-exempt positions for the division, ensuring the descriptions are accurate, properly formatted, and advertised. Additionally, I help market our jobs by reaching out to prospective job seekers via phone/email/text. I asses and qualify Commercial Drivers who apply to our CDL jobs as well as other select positions.

Where is your job located?
Our office is located in Rochester, NY.
What do you like about working here?
The team atmosphere. During my first week, I met with every manager and coworker in the office. It really made me feel welcome. I am surrounded by great performers who work together to effectively find the best candidates for the right jobs.
What are the best parts of your job?
I really like the team I work with. We all support and challenge each other to be our best. To make things more exciting we have competitions throughout the year. I also like that I have the autonomy to plan my day.
What would co-workers say about you?
They would probably say I’m the go-to guy for truck driving questions.
What was your first job ever?
Pizza Hut as a pizza maker. I’ll never be able to erase from my memory exactly how many pepperonis go on a large pizza (yes, we had to count them!)
Do you have any fun or interesting work stories?
One of my current coworkers from a previous job at a large company turned out to be one of my coworkers a few years down the road at another position. Luckily, we worked well together in the past, and had a lot of respect for each other, so we picked up right where we left off. This goes to show you that you should always network and maintain good working relationships because you never know what future connections might happen.
What do you do outside of work?
I enjoy playing the drums, and I play for my church. I also like to stay active. I enjoy going to the gym and running. I’m a big fan of animals. I don’t have any of my own, but I dog sit for friends on occasion. Other than that, I spend lots of time with close friends and family.
Would you like to share anything about your family?
I grew up in Chili, NY. I was raised by amazing parents who are still together. I am the middle of two brothers, one 3 years older and one 3 years younger. I also have a younger sister who is adopted from China. We all get along great. My older brother lives right down the road, and I enjoy seeing his four children as often as I can.
